This poor darlin' looks like she might have been rode hard and put up wet. Needless to say, considering the condition of the coin, I didn't have to pay very much for it - a good filler in my opinion.
I have graded it as AG-3 due to the rim merging with the outer letters in the motto as well as the bottom of the date, the head is outlined, but all details are considerably worn. Also, the raised area at about 3:oo is a result of rim damage - a hole in the rim. However, it does show a scant rim on the upper portion of the coin.
On the reverse the entire design shows considerable wear, the rim merges with the letters, PEACE is almost nonexistant - a portion of the A and the C are all that are visible.
As I said, I bought it as a filler, but the fact that it's dated 1921 makes it a keeper.
What opinion do you have about the grade? Do you agree with my estimation, or would you drop it down a grade to Fair? For that matter, would you raise it a grade to G-4? If so, please explain your reasoning.
