Any ideas out there on this coin? It only weights 2 grams, in is 5/8" in diameter.

Both sides are the same?It´s looks a roman denarius I guess.Is it silver?

I think it's a modern fabrication. It might have been cast in silver all right - but it was still cast.

It's a double-headed copy of this Roman Republican denarius.

Probably not silver. The only reason to make it out of silver would be to try to fool a coin collector - and most coin collectors aren't going to be fooled by a double-headed coin like this.

Ok thanks all -- I did notice the hair is different on each side though. Does that make a difference?
