I hear from C. Moore that the Torex auction will have 2900 lots! Lots to sink teeth into I hope. With that many lots, it could be a buyer's market. I'll be looking for some nice cents......

Yes, I'm also wondering when items will be available on the net for viewing...
Should be a pretty good auction. There's going to be an 1859 brass...:-)

This will be the first time in 5 years that I won't be bidding on one coin in the Torex Auction! Glenn

No, the absolute contary, I love Torex and I always need coins from The Auction, however, this year my wife has been laid off work, both teen boys have started Post second education, and we had to purchase a new vehicle. So Torex right now will have to take a back seat as you can understand. However, the coins I've acquired over the last 10 years will keep me inspired. Glenn

Not sure if I will come. Torex is not the show it used to be... I am seriously considering making Nuphilex my "fall coin show". It has a bigger bourse, with more range of inventory for collectors (not just higher end stuff), and it is a little cheaper and closer to me. I will be attending the coin grading clinic at Humber College in November though - someone needs to keep the Cornwalls on their toes!

I got the Torex catalogue today. It's very impressive! Does Moores always make catalogues of this quality?
I noticed that there are a lot of higher end coins in there... Given the lack of interest in high-end coins over the past year, I'm curious to see what's going to happen in this particular auction.
At first glance, the only expensive coin that I see selling above Trends is the 1859 brass penny...bviously ;-)

Only 20 Victoria 50c lots and half of them are 1870 and 1872. Shows you how rare? This series is to collect
