Hello. My Mother was given these two coins, by a friend in Turkey, around 25 years ago. Could anyone give me some information on them please? I have photographed both sides of each coin and also taken photos from different distances.

the 2 coin should be
EGYPT 5 Para (1839) Abdul Mejid copper

Slight correction on the date of the Ottoman coin - I see the regnal year 6, so the coin was minted in about 1844 (1839 is Abdul Mejid's accession year).

The other item looks like a piece of metal was placed over a nail head and then hammered upon.
