So Tuesday, I do my box of halves and find no silver. Then I go through a box of Nick's and find a very typical mix of coins. After the Nick's, I still wanted to do some searching. The only thing I had left was a partial box of cents that I had grown disinterested in because there wasn't even 10% copper, much less any wheaties. I'm whipping through them kind of fast and all of a sudden I see a 1909. Its in really good shape. I'm no coin grader but I'd say EF. I set there staring at the obverse in anticipation of flipping it. Probably do this for a couple minutes. I flip it and bam! VDB! I couldn't believe it. I haven't found a 1909, much less a VDB. I was so excited I couldn't even sleep. Ended up waking my wife because I had to tell someone :)

Last night, I open a box (different courier/bank). As my custom, I grab a bunch of the rolls and look for enders. I find a 1916D. The rest of the box returned minimal common wheaties.

I must be living right or something because I've been pretty lucky lately.

That's a pretty sweet find ! I bought a 1909 Indian cent and got a 1909 Lincoln that showed up in a different package. The dealer told me to keep it instead of sending it back.

Oh yeah..............

That's nice Bernie...I bet you were surprised when you rolled that out and saw it began '20xx' instead of '19xx'. I had similar happen to me with a 1995 dime. I saw an ender as soon as I opened this box of dimes back. I grabbed it and pull the roll top to the side so I could see the date. Saw 1995 and thought that my 'silver vision' was letting me down. When I opened the roll and saw it from the side, I knew it was silver and saw the 'S' indicating a proof coin.
