Hello CCF friends!

i have the opportunity to grab 41 1968 quarters for 130$

were 1968 quarters every minted with 80% silver or were they only ever minted in 50%

The 1967 quarters had both 50% and 80% but the 68 quarters are 50%

They were minted with .500 silver and you can check if they are. Silver ones are non-magnetic and Nickel ones are magnetic.

i hope you didnt buy the nickel ones...lol. But like the posts above me, if they ARE silver, they would be 50%

The 68's are 50% silver... melt value today about $3.25

If they're magnetic, they are 100% nickel, not the silver type.

I didn't want to sit there and magnetize every one. I'm not going for them. Although if I did I would have already made 2.50$ cause silver is at 35.10$!

Frequently these coins trade at a discount to spot due to their lower purity.
