Biancasdad Pillar of the Community United States 1045 Posts	Posted 12/04/2012 4:08 pm Hello friends, I have to confess, like some other bottom feeders, I also love to troll ebay looking for some good old ancient table scraps. I guess it is the thrill of the chase and the feeling of satisfaction that comes when you can obtain a 1700 year old coin that has some worthy characteristics. Here is my Galerius. The reverse is a bit rough and the metal may have some corrosion, but I found the portrait to be ruggedly delightful. Total cost: $6.00 Comments always appreciated. I agree the portrait is well done but the coin is common enough that we might ask if it would be better to find a $10 one with a reverse matching the obverse. We each will have our own opinions on that question. I have many worse coins but I try to make most of them things that are hard to find in better shape. Report this Post to the Staff
