Hello friends,

I have to confess, like some other bottom feeders, I also love to troll ebay looking for some good old ancient table scraps. I guess it is the thrill of the chase and the feeling of satisfaction that comes when you can obtain a 1700 year old coin that has some worthy characteristics.

Here is my Galerius. The reverse is a bit rough and the metal may have some corrosion, but I found the portrait to be ruggedly delightful.

Total cost: $6.00

The coin is a post reform radiate from Cyzicus mint. I agree the portrait is well done but the coin is common enough that we might ask if it would be better to find a $10 one with a reverse matching the obverse. We each will have our own opinions on that question. I have many worse coins but I try to make most of them things that are hard to find in better shape.

A great coin for sure. I do not have any coins of Galerius in my collection at the moment. Perhaps I shall fix this....

Condition isn't paramount to me so I also love chasing these coins. Good job
