TheNumismatic Valued Member United States 70 Posts	Posted 12/15/2012 08:58 am - What are the key dates for Silver Roosevelts? - Any examples that have added mintmarks? (I think my collection has added mink marks, as its darker around the mint mark though rest of the coin is shiny. It could be that someone, (with Whitman folder) placed two of them torch to face. Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6399 Posts	Posted 12/15/2012 11:02 am I don't think anyone would bother adding mintmarks. Roosevelts have to be in top grades to be valuable. Adding a mintmark to a high-grade Philly coin would just ruin it's value. Report this Post to the Staff

This is both good and bad... bad in that a circulated set is nothing special... good in that collectors wanted to put together a gem uncirculated will work at it but have fun doing so. jnew2117 Valued Member United States 57 Posts	Posted 12/25/2012 2:51 pm This is a great series to work on. The dimes can be had in great condition for a little over spot. The only real "keys" that I found were the 49, 49-S, and 50-S. If you go beyond silver, the 65, 66, 67, and 82 adn 83 coins are all more difficult to find in MS, just due to no uncirculated mint sets being produced those years. Report this Post to the Staff
