Due to the high cost of living combined with legal fees & property settlement from a much needed divorce this past 4 years, I have been reduced from purchasing error coins/currency at will to inspecting current pocket change for minor varieties.

That said, in the past few weeks I received 5 coins in change that may be keepers, and instead of posting the photos of all five coins in one thread, I decided to break it up into three seperate (parts) threads.

The first 3 (of 5 coins) posted in this thread as Part #1 are LMC's, Part #2 (second thread) is coin #4 a 2013 Nickel, followed by part #3 (5th coin), a 2010 Dime.

The first two coins (1986 & 1996) have minor die cracks on the reverse side.

Coin #3 is a 2007 that looks to be brass plated (weighing in at 2.46 grams.
I use the self-checkout at my local grocery store and when my granddaughter removed the change she became very excited and said "Look Grandpa, I got a Gold Coin". The expression on her face was priceless.

The photos of the brass color due this coin no justice as it is quite brighter in hand.

2 die cracks on reverse side of 1986 LMC.

The brass plate one looks legit but that finger print will hurt it a lot.The die cracks are common and in a common area on the coin.

Die cracks are common. I found them with many. I have one with three die cracks and another one with 9 die cracks. But unless they run all the way across the coin, they are not real interesting.
