Zinc cents do that, but they are generally pretty beat up/circulated while your coin looks good still. Can I get a second opinion?

I did not think so either it looked like lamination or something else I have no clue.

It is probably a lamination peel. The area under the missing area is not smooth looking. More like under a lamination.

I thought lamination was SW-SE. So it is NW-SE. Is the reverse affected also? This happens sometimes.

Only thing wrong witht he rev is the Ameri in America has some I guess lamination issues you can see in the pic above I'm really excited about this coin it has so much going on with it !
