Do we think this cent has any value above $0.01? It has an odd color and some sort of damage on the reverse.

Yup! It is in rough shape but this variety is not that easy to find.

The 1 does not appear doubled. Is that typical for the 1938 DD?

wow awesome coin I love the dramatic doubling on the 3 and 8.
@ twocentsworth look at the bottom of the 1 you will see its slightly doubled.

Neat coin. There is doubling on the C in Canada as well as the leaf also.
