i stumbled onto this looking for large date over small date and made me scratch my head note the tail on the nine is that DDO?

Sorry but I do not see any doubling on these devices.

The coin may have had some contact on the date devices. I see what you are looking at and it looks interesting, but the overall shape of the date is not affected. I would set it aside and hold onto it for now. If you could get images of this coin and a normal one rotate to the horizontal angles, I might be able to create a side by side to see if the date devices are enlarged.

More is involved that the tail of the 9. Note the inner curl on the 9? The direction of the inner loop.

The location of the bottom of the 7. (What I look at first) Also the crease on the inside. It is a large date.

You coin looks nice a earlier die state. The fields are very fresh.
