Good question? I'm not aware of a Type 2.

You got me on that one also. The coin seems too shiny to be a MS example? They should be dull in luster. Buy the coin and not the plastic. NGC slab...

They re-process the 1943 cents. But instead of using zinc, they plate them. From the images it might be. It just seem a little too shiny to be a mint state coin. IMOHO

There's no way I'd think that coin would ever get an MS66 rating. Unless that's a really scratched holder.

About the type 2, I have 2 theories. 1) He doesn't call it a steel cent so maybe that's it. That would make a 1944 a resumption of the type 1. I haven't seen any labeled this way. It's just a guess. That would make '59s type 3 & (to add more confusion) '82s either type 3 or 4. LOL!
2) There was a guy on another forum that went on and on, for over a week, about 2 different types of 3 being used in the date. The normal 3 & the notorious "SW pointing 3". As confusing as it would be, I hope it's theory 1. If I have to live through the "SW pointing 3" thing again, I may give up coins. I'm sure someone saw this thread.

It says Type II Wheat cent so it got me to thinking.

Type I Wheat cent is Copper

Type II Wheat cent is zinc/steel

Yep, looks like its based on the design and coin content, so it makes sense to me.
