It just seem a little too shiny to be a mint state coin. IMOHO Reprocessed: The surfaces are shiny and rough on the reprocessed examples. Here is a MS-67 example: Report this Post to the Staff

jay4202472000 Pillar of the Community United States 853 Posts	Posted 03/26/2014 9:02 pm About the type 2, I have 2 theories. 1) He doesn't call it a steel cent so maybe that's it. That would make a 1944 a resumption of the type 1. I haven't seen any labeled this way. It's just a guess. That would make '59s type 3 & (to add more confusion) '82s either type 3 or 4. LOL! 2) There was a guy on another forum that went on and on, for over a week, about 2 different types of 3 being used in the date. The normal 3 & the notorious "SW pointing 3". As confusing as it would be, I hope it's theory 1. If I have to live through the "SW pointing 3" thing again, I may give up coins. I'm sure someone saw this thread. Report this Post to the Staff

Type I Wheat cent is Copper Type II Wheat cent is zinc/steel EDIT: Well, I did locate a rather unofficial source about the LWC / LMC: http://www.thecoinspot.com/1_lincoln_cent.php Yep, looks like its based on the design and coin content, so it makes sense to me.
