I have what I believe is a 1888, Double 888, One Cent.
The photos don't do the coin justice or show the doubling too well although it is pretty clear to see on the last 8.

Hi lenver...Hard to tell from your pictures, but when I ran it through my software the first two "8" on the left look like Die Deterioration to me..The last 8, the one on the right, take a look at the yellow arrow, the 8 is broken up..I would have suspected the whole 8 to be there if it were doubled. The blue arrows look like Die Deterioration to me..I am no expert, but maybe some one esle can give you better news.

Thanks wert, appreciate your feedback. Although you cannot see it in the pics there appears to be similar marking to the right of the middle 8 and on the upper left of the first 8. This is very similar to the example shown here:http://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins...1888&years=1
