1970-S Nickel With Satin Finish? - Coin Community Forum

nickpicker Valued Member United States 210 Posts	Posted 05/07/2014 12:30 am Just thought this was odd. It's almost proof-like except that the whole coin has a satin kind of finish. Hard to see in the pictures. Almost a complete set of steps, and it seems like a nice squared rim. I remember reading somewhere about satin finish coins made from used proof dies. But recently, I've tapped into some 60s and 70s Jeffersons worth putting aside. Tough to find the Full Steps, but some rather nice circulation coins to be had. Keep looking!! You'll find them.
