mskittlekitten New Member United States 8 Posts	Posted 06/19/2014 1:45 pm I am fairly new to collecting coins adamantly keep few over the years but still horrible at figuring out what kind of errors I find. I have absolutely no problem seeing them even without magnification but usually not a clue how to classify them. Could anyone help me with a few please? Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 06/19/2014 11:37 pm On the devices in the 9:00 area on the 1942, it looks like a lamination in that area. The date looks damaged. The 1926 looks like the 10:00 area was damaged or a lamination moved the metal over those motto devices. A closer shot might be helpful to see for sure what is going on. Report this Post to the Staff

On the 1926 it looks like ribbon of metal placed over the words. The difference between PMD and not is where I cant see how to tell. Report this Post to the Staff
