Would be some sort of medal commemorating the brothers Grimm, who collected fairy tales.
Needs a better picture to clearly read the legend, no need to waste space around the medal in the picture.

Also are there two separate medals? the top one has Ludwig Grimm birth death years. He was a German painter, art professor, etcher and copper engraver. His brothers were the well-known folklorists. The second is of his more famous brothers.
If they are two medals photos of the reverse would help.
