1955 D Wheat penny. The date and mint Mark look to be doubled. Actually I see doubling in all the lettering. There's something about his war I can't out my finger on and also under his had. The back lettering also looks doubled and the leaves are different. Maybe a doubled die or ? Still new but I have been studing. Its just not registering in my head yet.
The devices look the same size as normal. Here is an image of Machine Doubling for the same year. Note the same size of the devices: All coins were struck from the same die. (marker noticed on the coins)
But keep in mind that circulation can widen out the devices during circulation. But to me your coin looks regular from the images provided.
