I suppose I was right about the doubling. Have I seen that 7 in the date before? or is it just damage?

I feel it is damage. Contact has distorted it a bit. (The broken post on the bottom of the 'B' is also common. It is often used as a marker for a variety, but can also be found on normal coins as well)

nice find

The Cohen Lincoln Cent book has 18 pages with 8 varieties on each page or over 100 different clogged B in liberty varieties just for 1957-D. Only problem is they all almost look the same

Nice coin! Even if that isn't doubling on the reverse, it still looks cool!

Thanks Coop, somehow that 7 just looked familiar. Thanks O-F. Tommyjet, that's a book by Jean Cohen on varieties. There are several editions. Coinlover, it is sweet.
