Can Anyone Please Verify If This Is A Constans II Follis?

turtlefoot Valued Member United States 182 Posts	Posted 07/20/2016 7:15 pm This came in a collection of coins that I picked up. I was told by one person that it was either a very crude Constans II Follis or a very crude copy of a Constans II Follis. I have no reason to doubt this identification. I am just trying to confirm it as I cannot find any similar online. It is very thin and almost rectangle in shape. It is 23mm x 20mm and less than 0.5mm thick. It is also the most crudely struck Byzantine coin in my collection. Any help is appreciated. Thank You, Doug Report this Post to the Staff

This coin is more crudely struck and thinner than any other Byzantine coin in my collection, or that I have personally seen. I will try to see if I can get any better pics tomorrow.
