Had a wonderful time in our nation's Capital. Indeed a very busy week with meetings, tours, auctions and of course friendly conversations.
It was nice meeting you Discovery and thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself.
One interesting item I found (are we doing a show and tell here?) in my travels was located at the gift shop in the War Museum. I am certain that the obverse features our 12th Governor General Lord Byng though the accompanying documentation makes no mention other than the number of those who died during the battle.
Quite impressive at 44mm and 47.6 grams, so much so that I was compelled to make a second trip in the scorching heat to purchase two more! Fortunately it was only a 10 minute walk from the hotel and on my way back I stumbled upon the Fireman memorial unveiled in 2012.
