2014 LC Cud? Or Bubble? Or Damage? - Coin Community Forum

The_Coin_N006 Valued Member United States 72 Posts	Posted 01/14/2017 5:50 pm recently heard of doubling on the 2014 LC around liberty and the date, so started searching. CoinCents Pillar of the Community United States 3656 Posts	Posted 01/14/2017 6:09 pm Most likely a plating bubble - you can poke lightly at it with a toothpick to see if there is movement. It is not a Cud. A Cud always involves the rim where the die breaks. There are some great articles and definitions for a lot the these types of errors at CudsOnCoins.com Good reading and most beneficial for learning. When I first went to site, I was amazed at what I learned and actually said to myself a couple of time - I have one of those. Anyways lot of fun for me. Report this Post to the Staff
