Hi so I found this penny and I saw it's missing the last digit in the date. I'm assuming it's from Die Deterioration. My question is whether or not I should keep the coin.. is it worth anything? It's hard to see much in the picture, but I can tell you that the last digit is completely gone. There is no sort of raised area as to where the digit would be. Under a magnifying glass you can't see anything in the place of the 4th digit. So, is it valuable? Thanks for the help.

I do not believe it carries any premiums, but I would still keep it, it is a cool find.
Rest in Peace

These are called "strike throughs" or Grease Filled Dies. Your's looks like a match to my 1991, a nice keeper example

They are not really worth much unless a lot of the devices are missing. Missing digits and letters are fairly common due to Grease Filled Dies.
