Trying to fill my 09'-40' Lincoln folder, and purchased this one. Was wondering if it is a die crack, or what they call a "lucky hit" where someone damaged it after it was minted? As always, thank you for your time!!

It's not a die crack. It looks like some type of Lamination. It's a legitimate mint error. I happened during the minting process. Nice find! Take pictures of the entire coin rev. and obv. next time you post.

Fair price for the date/mm. Lams don't increase the sale value much unless really dramatic, half coin gone, peeled and flipped over, that kind of thing. A split one, with piece off, Nada mucho.

. It doesn't add much to the value, but it's a decent example and certainly a saver, especially since its a much better date.

If we can see the entire coin, that would be great.
