I finally got around to getting it certified. As you can see it came back AU50. I know more and more are coming out of the wood work, but I would like to know what the highest grade is so far. Also would love to know if any others have changed hands.

awesome find! If I were you, I would sell it now. I think interest in this coin has already peaked, and is on the downward slide, unfortunately. I know that there is someone on the forum who has atleast a dozen of these. It would be interesting to know if he has one in AU or better...

WOW! I just checked the 2011 ICCS population report, and the highest graded was a mere EF-40. You could have the highest certified example by ICCS. Congrats! It would be interesting to see what would happen if this was put into a major auction.

I know of 4 higher than AU in ICCS flips. Non-attributed, that is why ICCS pop reports are not reliable for much.

perhaps they were graded before they were "discovered". The owners of those coins should resubmit them. I don't believe they are as rare as first thought, but they will still be pretty hard to come by.
