This coin has a appearance of a circulated Proof coin. The surface areas are proof like. This coin is not cleaned, but has a golden toning on both sides. I may have used too much light to show all of that and more detail.

To me, it seems like a high grade 1938 Jefferson. I've seen the yellow toning on nickels before.
