I have a coin I can't identify due to rust. I think it might be medieval. What is the best way to clean it enough to identify it?

A good first step would be to post pics of the coin on this thread. We might be able to help you with an ID without you needing to clean this coin.

Pics are fine. This coin is made from copper and doesn't need to be cleaned further.
