This seems to match some but not all in Wexler. Any thoughts?

Not seeing a Doubled Die anywhere. Just a normal coin with coin contact marks and damage from circulation.

Wexler only has pics of 002. Going by these pics I do not see a DDO.

The left side of each four on the points are what made me think it might be a WDDO-002. Those areas match the areas in Wexler.

Looks like a normal coin that had a rough time in circulation. The 001 is a class 6 DDO with widened '944' on the date. Note the inward movement on the '44' near the cross member.

Here are a few Class 6 doubled dies I put together to show the doubling on the 44 this year. (I know they are not the die in question, but it shows what a normal die and the class 6 doubled die looks like on the '44'.

It is not a match to 002 either as the mint mark location is lower than the OP's coin.
