Upon searching my coins I found this 62D and it weighs 2.8 I checked and checked again. Could this even be possible? Major error coin?

If the coin was reduced in size with Acid, it could be an altered coin:

Same size as a regular penny but it weighs 2.8 could this be a steel penny?

Minimum legal tolerance weight for a copper alloy cent is 2.89 grams. Your coin is somewhere from .04 to .15 below tolerance. (I am assuming you scale just reads to tenths of a gram.) This is not significant enough to justify a premium value. Get it down to 2.5 and you might start developing some interest.
