Sticking to the nickel, I don't see the green, but the streak could be a a die crack maybe?

The nickel is a War Nickel. These are 35% silver. They commonly have lamination issues. The first picture looks like a classic lamination to me.

both nickels are 35% silver "war nickels," which is the reason for the color. The 1944 has a minor lamination error down the vest, which was very common those years due to them not having all the kinks worked out of producing the alloy for the silver-nickel planchets.
