IMHO, when something comes with a "cert" of authenticity, that is done for marketing and most of the value will be in the precious metal content. It is a medal as witnessed by the certificate of guarantee. Unless directly issued by the Vatican, it will be a private company issue and has usually little resale value other than bullion.
