Rick, I don't have any info here with me in the hospital, but the first thing I would do is check the height of the metal inbetween the gouges to make sure this is not just a hit that has pushed the metal up on both sides.

I'm sure you have looked on https://www.vamworld.com - If not or even if you have there is a Discussion Forum that maybe you could ask similar questions.

Also - 0n the Home Page - towards the bottom under the Sub-Title of "Attribution Guides" there is a title of 'Attribution Tips'

AND a little further down under the Sub-Title of " VAM Answers & Articles" there is a title of 'What do I do if I think I have a new variety?'

I hope this will shed a little more light.

Hi Ducky Nice to see you !

I have the coin posted in the discussion on Vamworld , and that is where it has been labeled PMD , but my pictures of this are not that great so the detail is limited from the pictures as opposed to what I can see under my loupe .

I may go ahead and pay the 5 bucks and have it looked at in hand because well I'm a little bit stubborn and there is a crack from the corner of the lower raised area to the corner of the foot on the F and to me this is an indication that there is more there than my pictures can relate .

I appreciate the reply and the helpful info , and for that matter just seeing you post so I can post back to you .
