I just found this I know its not in the greatest shape looks like someone tried to drill a hole to make a necklace with it they didn't go all the way through but I got it for free I would like to know more about it and how much it could be worth but I would say its not but it is 184 years old but I like learning about it

Title should read "1837" instead of "1847".

It's a rather common date, with a mintage of over 5 1/2 million. Damage to the coin renders it ungradable, but still kinda cool to think it's almost 200 years old.

A decent (undamaged) specimen in good condition *might* fetch $15 or $20, IMHO.

Damaged rims and holed - probably holds it back to around a 5 spot. But to have a damaged large cent is better than to not have one at all!
