Not a "Die Clash" but a "Lamination" error cent. Nice find.

One day, hopefully, I'll get it right. It looked to me like lettering that's flattened and worn because it's straight and separated like letters in a word. thanks for the info guys.

Well a die clash would not affect that area of the coin. The center fields area would be affected.
