I save all the wheat pennies for the wife and I go through ordinary pennies looking for my birth year (some of you may cringe) but I picked up this habit in the military. Every coin penny/knickel/dime/quarter that's my birth year I drill a few holes for eyes then dremmel a smile into it so I carry around smiley face coins on my key chain hahaha I don't know it makes me happy. Anyway back to the post, every now and then I see a few coins that look like they are are different from others like these I'm posting pictures of 1 1981 has lines going diagnol in front and back of coin, 1 the year unknown I'd like to know if it's even worth trying to clean up some how? And 1 1972 has this faint circle starts around mid chest and gos around. For the quarters, in the word liberty a few of the e & r look fatter than normal and 1 specific quarter the bottom leg of the e appears to have a longer curve than any other

I was doing something similar to my coins when I was 12 years old before I knew better From what I can see everything is just damage & has no value except face value.

Suggest posting only one coin per discussion thread. Makes it much easier for forum members to give attention to what you have. Thanks.

The quick way to tell if they are worth anything is to ask yourself: "Would I buy this coin?" If not, then spend them. Damaged and ugly coins are worth face value.
