1964-D Bie? Would This Fall Into The BIE Category?

Or is it smeared metal from a slight hit? If those are all three die chips, then wouldn't this be called a "BIIE"? Hey Spence, I adjusted my coin scope to as pwerful as it will go and took that picture. To me the metal from the E seems to have melted that way instead of a chip sliding over, but that's just a rookie opinion. The 1963-d I posted earlier seemed like moved metal.. When I am looking for RPMS I slide the coin over just to check what LIBERTY looks like. I never set out to find BIES they are a by-product of my search. I had remembered that there were no 1963-d or 1964-d BIES having been reported so I posted pictures to get the experts giving me good info. I believe it's the beginning of a BIE. JC Stevens Pillar of the Community United States 538 Posts	Posted 05/28/2023 10:14 am In the 1969 edition of "THE CLASSIFICATION AND VALUE OF ERRORS ON THE Lincoln Cent" by Jean Cohen, she lists 6 1964D BIE's but no 1963D's. In the "BIE Handbook" Edited by Howard O Hardy as published in 1972 for the Guild there 4 1963D's and 18 1964D's. Only one is located in the 4th position (B-I) and Hardy lists it as 64D-4SEH+1.
