@ summoner, I'm a little behind on the list but gave it a listen quickly while checking out some of my hoard I'm going through and it was quite catchy for searching through my coins. Iv been stupid busy so haven't been very active.
@data dragon, I'm half way through your two lists I'm liking the vibes for searching for sure.
@mrwhatisit, since that's a long single listen I'm going to save it for when I get a half decent lot to search and have time to do it:p I have been enjoying the classical and orchestral requests as it's been a new Discovery for me, I can't say I like all the stuff iv been listening to, but I also can't deny that I am more focused with a lot of different orchestral pieces.
I'm going to have to go back a page or two to make sure I didn't forget any requests, or that I didn't forget to leave my opinion after listening. This summer has been less then eventful when it comes to roll hunting and variety searching. I have just been to busy with stuff.
I never thought of it until now. I'm a rock music fan, and I'm always listening to music, but I dont generally go to music, I look at coins when I get any chance, and when I'm in the mood. I'm gonna try that now though and see if helps my concentration :)
@Jwest8207, I find that no matter what I'm doing music can help me get more "into the zone". Could just be ADHD and music helps block put distractions so I han hyper focus. Depending on what I'm doing the music changes. Wouldn't listen to something classical or really soft if I was doing something intense. With sitting and focusing on coins though I find all music puts me into a different vibe. Ex I love the offspring but can't listen to them while looking at coins in a loupe but I could if I'm just powering through rolls looking for something specific. This has been a fun experiment for me over the years.
i think I missed out on the poll, but to answer the question... I really don't listen to music very much anymore. when I'm searching coins I just sit in 'silence', no music, just the white noise of one or two A/C units and a fan. the cat chimes in occasionally.
This seems like an interesting thread to revive. =)
I prefer quiet when I hunt rolls. However, if the house or patio is noisy, my go-to playlist is the 1994 Chant CD on my ancient iPod Touch. The Benedictine Monks chanting in Latin doesn't distract me the way that typical music breaks my concentration.
