Could anyone give me some information as far as the value of this coin? It was recognized by PCGS in 2024 and the was an article stating how rare it is. As of now, it's still only a pop 2, not including the one I believe I have. Thanks

The DDO is quite different. That one looks like MD to me.

To CCF! I'm thinking Machine Doubling, as the size of the letters are reduced and is shelf like in appearance.

It appears to be a combination of both. Here's a better photo

I agree it looks sort of shelf like but think thats due, in large part, to the sharpness (lack of the usual rounding of the edges) of the original lettering on this coin. Also, where do you see that the doubling is reducing the size of the devices? I don't see that at all. In fact, it clearly increases the sizes of all the impacted devices. Doesn't the consistent direction of the doubling also the seem to be indicative of a true DDO?

I dont think this example is a DDO but even if it was, its value is limited.

There is a genuine DDO for sale on ebay for $10.

If you look at IMP, that's where the Machine Doubling is. Your coin's doubling is much different than the actual DDO that echidna linked. The one on ebay is way different. Everything including the doubling has to be the same and has to match. It can't be similar. It has to match exactly, including the die markers.
