Seller claims to be in the United States but I kinda doubt it.

If you go to "sellers other items" and then to "about" it shows this seller as being in China...

After selling 204 of these counterfeits, this guy (quqing-62) just got his first negative feedback. He also shut down his listing shortly afterwards on 8/19.

Early sales were in the 200$ range with later sales in the 140$ range. So, looks like he sold somewhere in the $30,000 range.

Pretty good scam IF the guy was able to pull the money!

Maybe it's just me, but the situation appears questionable. Here's a photo of what is being sold. Thoughts?

haaa... I just had another look at the OP's pic provided. yes, clearly an AI-generated thing. I compared that pic to the quarter I found last night; the OP's picture of an AI coin also has no mintmark. oops. the one I found has a P on it. and... In Cod We Trust made me laugh.

Here's another guy selling a lot of counterfeits. Sure wish ebay had better controls on this kind of stuff. But it's harder with the Indian heads, as on lots of the Lincolns this guy has sold you can see the die chip on the inner left wheat noting them as Chinese fakes. Either way, this guy is making good money off bad coins.

Looks like both of the China based sellers I previously noted have started receiving negative feedback for selling counterfeit 2026 July 4th privy quarters. Between both accounts they have sold almost 400 coins between 130$ and 250$ netting them well over $50,000! Feedback sample size is small so far. As the feedback window opens up for more burned buyers over the next few days the negs should increase proportionally. One seller (quqing-62) has quit selling, the other (x-1903) is still going strong! Welcome to ebay!
