"Incipient Spalling". Is that a form of Die Deterioration?
Incipient spalling is an early-stage form of die damage that appears as a small, localized patch of surface-breaking micro-cracks, micro&-pits, and very shallow flaking or material pull&-out.
Is the area you have marked as "?" raised?
Difficult to make out for sure, but it looks to be above and below the shoulder.
