I am a little stunned and this is definitely a note I will be holding into for a while Somewhat circulated, but definitely worth more than a dollar, as I check each and every serial number I come across... You finding it in circulation is similar to a coin roll hunter finding an impaired proof in a bank roll. It's a series 1977 $1 bill. These were produced into the early 1980's, although the signatures on your bill indicate it was amongst the earlier issue years. An average $1 bill survives ~7 years in circulation before it is so worn out it gets removed and destroyed. There is no way your bill has been in the wild for ~49 years. Hence my suspicion that you happened to be in the right place at the right time when this was released back into the wild. That only adds to the joy of the amazing discovery.
