A collector friend told me that the new 2010p Quarter is going to be a tough find,
I must admit I have come into contact with quite a few 2010 25cents
but all with the M Logo.
Is this coin going to be this years find.....

First I've heard of it. There hasn't been a P since 2006, so unless the RCM used some old obverse dies - my guess is your friend is mistaken.
It would be cool if he wasn't though!

I had read at one point, perhaps in Charlton, that the Mint decided to use only the logo MM in order to help develop the brand. I can't see them using the P composition mark on only a few coins in only one denomination this year, unless the coins were mules and 4 year old obverse dies were used.
