Poll Question
On a scale with 10 being the best, how much do you trust their grades? If you see something rare in a high grade, do you believe it? If not, would you if it was in a different holder?

I trust them at least more than the market which seems to feel that an ICG slab is worse than it just being raw...based on heritage prices I see.

Unless it's in hand or has great pictures, I deduct 1 point from MS grades and often knock the circulated grades down 5 or 10 points when pricing ICG material. That's pretty much what the market does too. On coins under $100, it's no big deal and the authenticity is guaranteed.

I trust ICG. I still wonder why people tend to have issues with ICG.
I collect mostly classic coins and a good portion of my more expensive coins are slabbed. I have had experience with PCGS, NGC, ANACS, and ICG, and quite frankly, I never renewed my membership with PCGS because I became frustrated with their inconsistencies, less so for NGC, and have been happy with both ANACS and ICG.
I have read that people who collect moderns have stated that that ICG has been very generous with MS70's. I don't have any of those experiences.

I have a few graded by them and have no problem. I've heard the are not as conservative as PCGS and ANACS.

I have a few ICG slabs and they look fine to me.

Most of the complaints about ANACS seems to be more recently. There used to be a confidence about ANACS.

Then, if I understand correctly, their staff bailed and went to ICG. So, I think confidence in ICG slabs has gone up while views of ANACS more like the rookie now.

I think its according to if we are talking about classics or moderns also. I feel they are better at Classics than they are Modern coins
