So for the past month I've been trying to buy 2000, 1967 silver halfs fom a guy looking to sell. Finally we struck a deal today for just under 10$ a coin and I am now the proud owner of 2000 of these beauties.

Now Lets hope silver can keep it's pace!

At $46 an ounce for silver the 40% halves you are referring to are only worth in silver $6.81 each. I hope you have made a deal for "64" halves, not "67".

this is the canadian section, I am refering to Canadian 1967 halfs which are 80% silver

Are they mint state or proofs? I have a few rolls of minstate but I always want more, price of silver be darned.

About half and half ugly, really like the coin design glad I could add to the collection well under spot

Not to panic you but I know for a fact that "some" 1967 Silver coinage are minted with 50% silver.

I tried to stay away from the 1967 coins because there's no way to tell, but if those what you brought were 80% I'm happy for you :D

1967 silver Canadian coins have the following composition:

All 1967 1$ and 50 cents are composed of 80% silver.

For the first half of 1967 both 10 cent and 25 cents coins were 80% silver and in the latter half of 1967 both 10 cent and 25 cent coins were 50% silver.
