I found this dime that has what appears to be a penny rim. Has anyone ever heard something like this? Is this man-made or an error?

It is a Dryer Coin. One that spent some time is a commercial clothes dryer. The banging around has roll the rim over. They are damaged coins.

Thanks coop! That is so interesting. I never seen anything like it before. The rim is so smooth, from the edge I thought it was a penny. Thanks for the pictures and clarification.
