Quote: Congrats! FEC's are my favorite small cents. Getting a nice 1916 is a real accomplishment. I think you meant to type in 1856. 1856 in "G" condition is a $6,000 dollar coin.

Lol! My brain is still on the 1916 SLQ that got away from me yesterday! Of course I meant 1856!
Although... I wouldn't be shocked if we see a Chinese counterfeit FEC dated 1916 some day!

Maybe not ment to say 1916 but imagine if you did have a Flying Eagle cent with a 1916 date.

Quote: Hey John, you still need the 1859 Sheesh Dave, you always have to make things so difficult! Thank you all for your comments! It is a huge , and it required a lot of sacrifice as I sold gold to get the 1856. It was totally worth it though!

Congratulations on your set! That's something to be proud of.
I have the 1857, 1858 small and 1858 large letters, but won't be getting an 1856 anytime soon (or later for that matter).

Would have been funny if you said you found it roll searching. Or found it on one of ebays UNSERARCHED piles of coins. Wonder what that set will be worth in the future?
