Don't think they are worth anything, was wondering about cleaning or even if I should. Can you dip them into something like TarnX or the like without hurting them?
TIA

Does the 1909 have a small S at the bottom?

If they were really, really badly corroded and in a very low grade *maybe* I'd say clean them if you want. But those coins look perfectly fine to me. That's what they look like after 100 years unless you get one that was well preserved which is uncommon for circulated coins.

Does the 1909 have a small S on it. Great question ShadowCreator.

Crasha51pan, if it has that small S it is probably worthless and you should sell it to Shadow for a small price.

JUST KIDDING! And I am sure, Shadow was trying to be helpful. The 1909 with an S for mint mark is a valuable coin and worth not cleaning or getting rid of. Even in that condition.

....and don't post the same thing in two different forums. Will help you get the best reply for the info you are requesting....instead of the scattergun effect. :)

I checked, there is no "S". Thanks to all...

Acloco-
That was kind of harsh ! The post on the other thread was for the 1888 silver dollar and that 2 cent coin. Had a responce that was helpful...I wasn't shotgunning anything, this thread was about the Indian pennies....Lighten up!

Like mamma always said, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Or was that the bunny rabbit on Bambi?....

Oh, well. Words to live by, at any rate.

I personally dont see anything that needs to be cleaned with these coins, they have a nice color and I think they are good the way they are. Nice find.
