I really lack in experience with these, therefore I ask the experts...... I'm know this coin is pretty rough, and I think it may have been polished because of some deterioration/ separation on both sides. I need some help determining the grade, and if this might possibly be a 1927-D, instead of a Philadelphia issue. Any help and input is much appreciated.

it looks like there isn't much of a rim so I would grade it a AG, and it almost looks like it was painted

I say no mintmark.

Plain 1927

The mintmark seems to be the last thing to wear off on the Type III SLQ's.
