I Have Some Old Tokens I Found Detecting.

FOTD Valued Member United States 81 Posts	Posted 10/25/2011 11:51 am I found both of these in Pennsylvania metal detecting sometime in the mid 90's. I have no earthly idea what these are. Any help would be wonderful! Thank you for your time and expertise. This one is small. About the size of a Roosevelt dime. This one is much larger than the other and appears to have a pachyderm and what looks like a castle or maybe a saddle of some type? Too worn for me to tell really. Lady on a horse? ExoGuy Pillar of the Community United States 4427 Posts	Posted 10/27/2011 8:51 pm The second token appears to be a Condor or English merchant token from Coventry. The one side depicts a castle tower atop an elephant, and the other depicts Lady Godiva on horseback. These appear regularly on ebay - search Godiva. Given the condition of the subject token, there's hardly any value for this one. However, the Columbia piece looks like a nice find! Report this Post to the Staff
